The description of condition for all other items on the website is as follows:
• Unmounted Mint (Unhinged Mint) means fine mint without faults and never hinged;
• Mounted Mint (Hinged Mint) means fine mint without faults with previous hinge and may have previous hinge remains;
• Fine Used means fine circular date stamp used, without faults, may include cancelled to order or philatelic (first day cover) cancellation, Fine used items are always supplied with light to medium single circular date stamp cancels;
• Good Used means stamps without faults but with a slogan, parcel, roller cancel or heavier circular date stamp cancel.
In all circumstances our 100% money-back guarantee applies – if you don’t like it we will exchange it for one you do like or we will give you your money back.
The illustrations on the website are intended to show you the quality of the items you are going to receive. In the case of special items the illustration is the item you will receive. Any faults that are not evident from the illustration are described. In the case of general items the illustration is intended to show the standard you should expect – the actual item you are sent may differ from the one shown, but should be of a similar standard. In all cases our 100% money-back guarantee applies.
Subject unsold
When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you a confirmation email to confirm that we have received your order. Your contract to purchase items is not complete until we send you an e-mail notifying you that the items have been dispatched to you.
All offers on the website are made subject to stock availability and are subject unsold. We endeavour to ensure that only accurate and up to date information is placed online. However, there may be occasions when the actual item on offer differs slightly from that shown on the site, when an incorrect item is shown, or where incorrect copy is placed online. In the event that incorrect text or images are shown we will correct them as soon as possible. We will remove items from sale as soon as we are aware that they are no longer available.
Despatch
We endeavour to despatch all orders promptly, usually within 24 hours of receipt of your order and payment. However, on occasion this may not be possible, for example when we are attending stamp fairs. We will send you an email to acknowledging your order. We will also send you an email to let you know that your order has been despatched. In any event if you have not received your order within 14 days please contact us.
Returns and refunds
We are committed to customer satisfaction and will gladly accept the return of any items supplied by us, without question, provided that:
• the goods are returned in the same condition in which we supplied them;
• you notify Steve Irwin Stamps directly before returning any item, this must be with 14 days of the order being received;
• they have not been subjected to any form of treatment, for example, immersion in water or any other fluids without our permission; and
• they are returned within a reasonable period of time – we consider that a reasonable time for UK customers is two weeks from the date of delivery; for overseas customers four weeks from the date of delivery.
If the items are returned in the same condition (unless notified of damage in original transit) we will refund the full purchase price, plus postage if applicable, but you are responsible for the return postage

PLEASE NOTE: for exceptionally heavy or large items (such as year books) extra postage will be charged; in these cases the extra cost will be clearly noted on the item description.
All items are sent by 1st Class/Airmail Royal Mail, items valued over £250 will be sent by Special Delivery/Airsure (items must be signed for) free of charge (please select a non-priority mail option, this will be added automatically for orders over £250). This can service can be paid for separately for smaller orders by selecting the 'Priority' options. All orders have certificates of posting and the Post Office will contact you to confirm the details on any items that are lost or damaged in transit.
Guarantee of delivery
Working with our insurer we accept responsibility for the safe delivery of all orders. All orders of £250 or more will be sent by “Special Delivery” in the UK or by “International Signed For” overseas and will be delivered in accordance with Royal Mail’s guarantee for that service. First class mail will be used to despatch all orders and a certificate of posting will be obtained for orders below £250. In the event of a loss in transit we will indemnify you from loss provided that you co-operate with any enquiry instigated by the relevant postal authorities. Whilst we will make every effort to ensure your goods are delivered on time we cannot be held responsible for any failures of the postal authorities to deliver within their agreed timescales.
Credit card acceptance conditions
We do not store your credit card numbers or security codes on our site or within our email system. Under no circumstances will your credit card details be made available to any other organisation.
Privacy
We do not disclose your personal details to any other company or organisation whatsoever under any circumstances.
Payment
All prices are in GB pounds. The currency converter available on this website gives an indication of our prices in Euros or US/Australian Dollars. This is based on average market rates and is updated weekly by a third party provider. You will be charged in GB Pounds, so the actual amount you will pay in Euros or US/Australian Dollars will be based on the exchange rate at the time of the transaction and any other conversion charges levied by your credit/debit card provider.
We can accept payment by cheque payable in GB pounds (only). Please make cheques payable to 'Irwin Philatelics'. Please allow 7 working days for cheques to clear. All our contact details can be found on our ‘About Us & Contact Details’ page.
